Future Website Changes
Updates for September

OK, some of you may have noticed that we haven't been updating the website recently. This is because we are going to have to move all of the age groups along a year. From a date yet to be anounced, most likely in august, the pages will be moved forward. Eg, so the current Under 9's will find their Match Reports and page in the Under 10's section. This message will be removed a soon as we have done this. If you have any futher question regarding the switchover, email admin@rocklandsyouthfc.co.uk

Apart from the switchover, we are also looking at opening an email service, so all of our members can have an @rocklandsyouthfc.co.uk email address. We are also looking at creating a seperate website for people interested in joining the club (a big advert really) These changes will start to be implimented in August, again, the email address is admin@rocklandsyouthfc.co.uk
if you have any comments, ideas or suggestions.

Watton Tournament
Monday 09 June 2008 - 13:08:02 in Misc

Watton TournamentYet again Tony’s Tigers set the pace, winning the Under 9 league in the Martin Bridges 6-a-side tournament at Watton on Saturday 7th June 2008. Despite the wet conditions, they were the only team to win all their games on the day.  They must strike fear into the hearts of their opponents wherever they go!

The Bulldogs missed out by goal difference once more.  A nail-biting afternoon which went right to the final match between Watton and Cringleford, with Watton scoring the three goals they needed to clinch first place in the Under 11 league, leaving Bulldogs as runners up.  Nevertheless, it was an exciting afternoon and a good team performance

Soccer on the Sands
Monday 02 June 2008 - 09:33:12 in Misc

Soccer on the SandsFour teams were successfully entered into the annual Soccer on the Sands tournament played on the beach at Gt Yarmouth. The Under 13’s and one Bulldogs team narrowly missed qualifying for the Quarterfinals on goal difference. A second Bulldogs team reached the Under 11’s final where they lost 2-1 to Wymondham Town. This was the third time in four years that the Bulldogs have progressed to the final of this competition but have yet to finish victorious. However the Tigers showed them how it’s done by winning the Under 9’s final.
Well done yet again, Tigers!!!!smile.png

Success of the Rhinos
ENJOY READING PROBABLY THE LONGEST MATCH REPORT TO EVER BE POSTED ON THIS SITE!
Report by Martyn Fuller

On a blistering hot day the top two sides in the division faced each other once again. After three games this season, one win each and a draw this Cup Final would be the decider.thumb_winnerss.jpg

The game started at a fast pace. Toftwood scored first, a mix up in the Rocklands defence saw the Toftwood player score from close range.

Rocklands to their credit didn't let their heads drop and pulled a goal back through Ryan Fuller, Jambo took a short corner to Ryan who struck a shot into bottom of net.

After the break Rocklands were told to carry on doing what they do best, attack. They were awarded a free kick on the half way line and as usual, aimed for the target. With the other players causing havoc in opponents box, this lead to Ryan's shot just creeping under the bar.

7goend2end
7goend2end, is a group of blokes, including our very own chairman 'Trevor Pearce' who are riding their bikes around the country to raise money for a worthy charity. Their 2008 challenge is to bike from John O’Groats to Lands End during August. We recommend that you visit their site, where you can track their progress with their daily updates, and sponsor them on their ride. In 2008, they are trying to raise money for Chapel Road School in Attleborough to give the children an experience which they will not forget - a trip to EuroDisney. So go onto their website, and support them now
